AUTOTIMESYNC
is yet another Internet clock synching program -- but one that is
designed to run automatically with no user intervention at all. Once you
have it configured, all you need to do is click on it's shortcut and let
it run. It will connect to the Internet, check your PC's internal clock
to the configured Internet time server, update your clock if necessary,
and then exit. Since it runs with no user interaction at all, you can
easily add it to your scheduled tasks, or even put it in your StartUp
folder so that your internal clock will stay correct at all times.
|
Note that AUTOTIMESYNC uses a configurable "countdown" timer
that gives you the opportunity to cancel execution if you are running it
interactively. This is particularly handy if you are connecting
via a dialup connection, and don't want to connect at that particular
moment. This timer also allows you to cancel out of the actual
clock update, should you so choose. |
Configuration
of AUTOTIMESYNC is quite easy. You simply select the
Internet time server (NTP) that you want to use, how you want to connect
to the Internet, and the seconds to wait before starting the process
(the "countdown" timer). The first time you run the
program, you will automatically get this configuration screen. To
re-configure at any time, just run the program and click on the
"Configure" button. |
